Join experts from Montana WILD and Last Chance Audubon Society for a guided bird walk around Spring Meadow Lake. We will observe and identify many species. This walk and its content are geared toward adults. We will follow a flat, one-mile loop and will be out for around an hour and a half.

Through yoga poses, learn about baby animals and how we can help keep them safe and wild. This free class is designed for 3-7-year-olds. Participants are welcome to bring a mat or towel, but it is not required.

Come and explore the fascinating world of bats! After a brief bat presentation in our auditorium, we will walk down to Spring Meadow Lake where participants will search for bats and use special equipment to hear their echolocation as they navigate and forage over the lake!

Observe a bird banding station in action! Montana WILD and Spring Meadow Lake State Park are thrilled to host six bird banding events throughout the summer with public opportunities to observe birds - and scientists - up close! Montana WILD staff and volunteers will provide education for adults and kids at the events. Those interested in dropping by can meet at the gazebo on the back lawn of Montana WILD. No registration is required for these free programs!
Join Montana WILD, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Lewis and Clark Conservation District to learn how planting native flowers can help both bears and pollinators! Learn about bear biology and how to secure attractants on your property, and practice using bear spray. Learn how taking down bird feeders and planting native flowers can support pollinators and keep bears out of trouble and take home a native plant to get you started!
